Here are their previews:

Preview of Mohabbatein
Aditya Chopra's "Mohabattein" is said to be heavily inspired by
Hollywood's "Dead Poets Society".Mohabbatein has a campus backdrop and
the film is set in a hostel in London. Narayan Shanker (Amitabh
Bachchan), is a strict principal who will not tolerate any nonsense
(read flirting, dating or romance) within the campus. Raj Aryan ( Shah
Rukh Khan) is a young lecturer in the college, who's immensely popular
among the students, and who's in love with Narayan's daughter in the
film, Aishwarya Rai. Aishwarya is dead and appears only in flashback
sequences, we are made to believe. Enter six young students played by
Jugal Hansraj, Jimmy Shergil, Shamita Shetty, Preeti Jhangiani, Uday
Chopra and Kimi Sharma who are in love with each other. Till a widow
(Shefali Chaya) enters Bachchan's life, helps him forget his past
agonies and in the process, love blossoms between the two. This, along
with the endeavors of his own daughter and her lover will finally melt
the heart of the elderly principal. Running concurrent to this basic
theme is also the story of three young couples in the college, whom
Shah Rukh and Aish warya help in realizing their love. The conflict of
values amongst the three generations makes an interesting movie. And
then, Narayan Shanker and Raj Aryan join hands together.

Preview of Mission Kashmir
"Mission Kashmir" is an action packed film which stars Sanjay Dutt,
Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta, Sonali Kulkarni and Jackie Shroff.
Sanjay Dutt, a police officer, and his wife Sonali Kulkarni are
happily married, eagerly looking forward to the birth of their first
child. But Sonali has a miscarriage and the doctors prounce the cruel
verdict: she can never have a baby. So they adopt an orphan, an
eight-year-old boy who grows up into Hrithik Roshan. Hrithik worships
his father but later it turns into intense hatred when he realises
that Sanjay Dutt is not only a foster father but is also the murderer
of his real papa. Hrithik now wants revenge and plays into the hands
of jehadi Jackie Shroff. Preity Zinta in the role of a newsreader
provides the romantic interest in this Vinod Chopra drama. Hrithik has
proved himself twice over with the hits "Kaho Na Pyar Hai" and "Fiza".
Chances are, he will pull off a hat-trick of hits with his third and
final release in the year 2000. Like "Fiza", Hrithik's character in
"Mission Kashmir" undergoes severe tests of loyalty and morality
before it emerges victorious. The film affords Hrithik a chance to
display a spectrum of complex emotions.

Shilpa's final word on Akshay Kumar
It was just yesterday when it seemed to the whole world that Shilpa
Shetty and Akshay Kumar were the most steady twosome in filmdom. The
couple shocked everyone around when they split. Everybody had a field
day trying to find reasons for the breakup. A few gossipmongers even
went around saying that Shilpa was trying to woo him back. Some even
went to the extent of saying that the two had made up and were back
together again. All through this Shilpa maintained a dignified silence
and just smiled. All that she would say was that Akshay and she have
parted as good friends. But then there was a film, "Dhakan", to be
completed and Shilpa knew that she had to maintain her silence. It's
also a known fact that Shilpa has been very fond of Akshay's mother
and sister, so she decided to remain mum on casanova Akshay. However,
the dam seems to have burst and Shilpa has gone on record denying her
reconciliation with lover boy and has also expressed her disgust at
having found how Akshay cheated on her even when they were together.
"Akshay used and abused me," is Shilpa's final word on the whole
sordid affair.

Noted actor Anupam Kher excited about the mega show "Sawal Dus Crore Ka"
If Amitabh Bachchan says 'lock kiya jaye' in Kaun Banega Crorepati,
the favorite words of host Anupam Kher in the mega show "Sawal Dus
Crore Ke" are "freeze it." If Kaun Banega Crorepati has more questions
on history, geography, people and places, "Sawal Dus Crore Ka"
focusses more on current affairs. This is how the two shows differ
from each other, Anupam Kher said in a press conference. "Sawal Dus
Crore Ka" is aired on the Zee network at 8.30 p.m. on Mondays,
Tuesdays and Thursdays from October 23 and is not just a money game.
It is more about compassion between participants, hosts and viewers.
It is a killer game and well devised, Kher said. Bollywood actress
Manisha Koirala will co-host Zee TV's "Sawal Dus Crore Ka" with Anupam
Kher according to a report. Manisha was unavailable for comment but
her secretary Ajit Dewani said, "She will be shooting for two episodes
a day for eights days a month." Zee TV has signed an agreement with
the actress to do at least 48 episodes for a period of three months,
after which it can be extended, depending on the programme's feedback,
Mr Dewani added.

"Kaun Banega Crorepati" faces stiff competition from other channels
The Megastar of Hindi films Amitabh Bachchan's hosted television show
"Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC)" is facing stiff competition from other
television channels. There's money in the air. Harshvardhan Nawathe
from Mumbai has become the first Crorepati winner. To counter the
unparallel success of "Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC)" on Star Plus, two
TV channels are launching big-money shows around Diwali. Zee TV
premiers its most ambitious show to date, "Sawal Dus Crore Ka", with
actor Anupam Kher as the host, and SABe TV begins "Jab Khelo Sab
Khelo", with Shekhar Suman at the helm. Sony Entertainment Television,
according to CEO Kunal Dasgupta, is also working on a similar show.
"Sawal Dus Crore Ka" takes KBC head-on: it will be telecast thrice a
week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 8.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m.), and three
finalists, out of 21 participants, will compete for the prize. But
unlike KBC, where a contestant starts with Rs 1,000, here he will
begin with Re 1, and a zero will be added for every correct answer (Rs
10, Rs 100 and so on). "Jab Khelo Sab Khelo", a one-hour interactive
afternoon show on weekdays, targets housewives, and the prize money
ranges from a minimum of Rs 10,000 to one crore 25 lakh. On its part,
Star TV is planning a series of innovative KBC shows, to stay on top.
Says Sameer Nair, executive vice-president, programming, "We're going
to have special episodes for children, jounalists and housewives. The
competition is getting fierce, it's going to be very challenging.
Clearly, KBC has rewritten the rules of the TV game, and the
eight-year-old satellite television industry is entering a phase of
fierce competition from other television channels.

Juhi Chawla: Pregnant
She may have tried to keep her marriage under wraps, but
Bollywood's most charming actress has found herself in the family
way and is being very open about it. This revelation came just as
she wrapped up a world tour spanning Canada, UK, and USA with
perennial partner Shah Rukh Khan in tow. She has eased up on
the amount of films she has been signing and currently has only
four under production projects, including Sanjay Chhel's "Yahoo!",
Dharmesh Darshan's "Ek Rishta" (with Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay
Kumar, Karishma Kapoor), "One Two ka Four" (Shah Rukh Khan)
and Priyadarshan's next with Akshay Kumar (Priyadarshan's
"Faraar" with Sunil Shetty has been completed and is in its
dubbing stage). She hasn't sworn off films after the arrival of her
baby, pending of course the quality of roles she recieves. And her
duties as producer will also keep her busy. Dreamz Unlimited's
next film, "Ashoka" will be released early next year. Congrats to
Juhi and Jai!

Mobile No. 1
Who is the most upwardly mobile star in Bollywood? Not
Hrithik Roshan, not Abhishek Bachchan, and none of the
Khans certainly. The tag goes to Govinda if this is to be
determined from the number of mobile phones that a star
keeps. Govinda is in possession of six mobile numbers,
which are usually lying with one or the other spotboy of
the different units he is shooting with. These boys
receive his calls and ask Govinda which number should the
caller dial. Depending on his mood and inclination, he
reveals the number. Which is to say that if he is
disinterested, the callers can go on a wild Govinda
chase... May be David Dhawan could script his prank in a
film called Mobile No. One.

London to see premiere of two Bollywood films
London is preparing for a Bollywood extravaganza with two films to be released on the same day in the British capital.
The Indian community here is waiting with bated breath to catch a glimpse of Bollywood idols, Hritik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt, who will be here for the release.
The event everyone is looking forward to is the release of 'Mohabatein' and 'Mission Kashmir'. Both will be premiered on Friday in North London and West
End. But it is only the stars of Mission Kashmir, Hritik and Sanjay Dutt, who will be in town.
In preparation for the big day the director of 'Mission Kashmir', Bidhu Vinod Chopra is hosting a press conference at the Langham Hilton, which will be closed
for five hours from 1 p.m. for the public. The press conference at which the 'Mission Kashmir' stars will be present is to be followed by a private screening for
the press, followed by a reception.
It is testament to the increasing importance of the non-resident Indian community that these two blockbusters are being released at the same time and with such
fanfare in London as well as in India.
Films like 'Dil Se,' 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai,' and 'Taal', which were not massive hits in India, nevertheless created box-office records in the West by hitting the
top ten of the British film charts.
'Mohabatein' was largely shot on location in London. Six new starlets are also making their debut in this production in which Amitabh plays headmaster of a
college.
Bachchan fans hope that with 'Mohabatein' their con will be able to recover his superstar status which suffered with his later films. They hope that 'Mohabatein'
will outdo even his success with the game show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati'.

He worships Amitabh Bachchan as his god
Hero-worshipping is common in Tamil Nadu.
But for the first time in northern India, a fruit vendor in an bscure township in Haryana has taken to worshipping the popular indi movie actor Amitabh
Bachchan.
Thirty-five-year-old Mahender Singh has built a temple in Bachchan's honour at Pundari in Kaithal district and worships his image with religious fervour.
Singh said he was fascinated by the persona of Bachchan, who was declared the most popular personality of the millennium by the British Broadcasting
Corporation (BBC) last year.
Singh said he has been fan of Bachchan since he was six years old.
"I started worshipping Amitabh Bachchan even before I knew who he was. Slowly I started looking up to him as my god. My family members urged me to give
this up. But the more I tried to forget him, the more I got closer to him. Then I thought if people can worship idols then what is wrong if I worship a living man.
Amitabh Bachchan is my god," Singh said.
Such has been his devotion towards the actor that he has been abstaining from foodgrains for the last five years. He has been
religiously worshipping the photograph of Bachchan every day and does not eat food before the "rituals".
Singh also observes a fast on the 11th day of every month for the long life of Bachchan, who recently turned 58. Singh says he has chosen 11th day because his
idol's birthday falls on 11th of October.
He also celebrates Bachchan's birthday lavishly, inviting friends and relatives over lunch.
Singh says he will continue the rituals till Bachchan himself "blesses" him. He has made a promise not to visit Bachchan personally. Singh, however, maintains
"contact" with his idol by ending letters written in blood.
