The start of the Navratri Festival starts from the potters' area where the colour transforms its very atmosphere from soil brown to the bright multi-colour small holed matkas created from clay, known as 'Garba's symbolising the human body with a lamp ('Garbhadeepa') enlightened within, symbolising the 'Atma', in homage to the super-power 'Mahashakti'. These Garbas are placed before the Murti of Goddess Amba in the Sthapan seen in the homes. A fantastic creation of the roadside artisans.
