it is the apathetic unconcerned and impotent attitude of the
organisation(ie government)that hurts more than anything else how truly
said.that too an organisation ironically elected & formed by the very people
it exploits that is supposed to take care of the people it governs.we can
blame pre-independence problems on the british colonialistic raj but what
about teh last 50 odd years.whom do we blame the state of affairs on.
i am no pessimist but one look around me and i see the faintest glimmer of
hope fade away. over the years the government has become a joke and any
expectation of it doing any meaningful work can be termed fiction.the
poor(60-70% of india) can barely afford a days square meal middle class's
back is broken by taxing them to the limit & the uppermost cream layer of
the nation goes scot free due to some loop hole or the other.rest of the
country slithers in agony while a miniscule lives in grandeur with the
government acting as agents to snatch the money from the middle class
deprive the poor n feed the rich n in the process get rich themselves.
is this what a "socialist republic" means? was this the dream that
pseudosecularist nehru n his blood sucking clan had sold us on 15th august
1947 when he said in chaste english(english spealing elite - me included
unfortunately - another bane to our esteem)" long long ago we made a tryst
with destiny - - - as the world sleep india awakens to its freedom". he
duped us very effectively and looted and destroyed us in the name of
democracy while actually he and his dynasty ruling like a tyrant
monarchy.just open you eyes and see what we have after 50 long years of
independence. this is not just to garner support by emotional rantings . my
views are merely a logical conclusion of the actual statistics the bare
truth that each of us sees in his/her everyday life in any part of india &
have started overlooking it by considering them as a part of our existence.
* corruption at all levels especially in government organisations.
overstaffed, underworked, pampered ,highly laid back & bureaucraticed
workforce in every department adding to the woes of the general populace.a
highly redundant and wasteful public sector whose productivity is not even a
fraction of what it should be in absolutely normal circumstances.a sorry
excuse for a legal system which functions as the magical net where the big
fish get away n the small ones get caught.
* absolutely pathetic infrastructure be it education, health care,
transport, basic amneties for most of the nation.please dont defend this by
citing examples of the lucky few who stay in upmarket areas of the metro
cities. they are too few even to reckon when we consider the nation as a
whole. i am not even considering luxurious things like unemployment and old
age benefits. that shall be too utopian for us. our country ranks amongst
the lowest in the world even by official statistics in regard to these
things and there is no running away from it. one can actually feel it after
one visits other countries & then travels across india.
* highly communally charged atmosphere and a divide in every aspect in the
people's very mind.it has becoms so entrenched that we have even stopped
noticing it and mind you it is not only religion i am talking about.divide
on linguistic, caste and most importantly religious basis.it was nehru who
opted for the linguistic division of states(andhra being first)whereas it
should have been done on the basis of administrative convenience & continued
with indulging in minority pampering & vote bank politics. it was his clan
who bashed the knowledge of our ancients(which happenes to be richer and
fuller than anything known to present day mankind in case u people never
knew)thus leading to lowering of the nation's self-esteem.we look down upon
ourselves and all this is thanks to the concept elitist westernised, english
speaking, hindu hating intelligentsia & media cultured n cultivated by the
"architect of modern india"( u know who).it would be silly to say that RSS &
BJP r responsible for this. their upcoming is a consequence of minority
pampering and not other way round.they have been around since years & done a
lot of good work. sadly it had never been advertised & so nobody knows it.
* entrepreneur opressive laws like MRTP & baburaj which had made this
country an investor's n entrepreneurs hell.the sickening saga of red-tapism
owning to socialist policies were such that people actually had to bribe
their way through 15-20 people before starting a small sized production
unit.as if this was not enough the amount & the style of production was also
to be determined by the government which in short meant more bribing & also
meant that true power resides in the hands of the ruling body which was
nehru dynasty. shall we call this a mere coincidence.this made the general
population corrupt & and harmed the very people for whom socialism had
started. socialism means that the produce of the country financial/consumer
goods or otherwise should be distributed equally amongst the population in
order to avoid a class divide but excatly the opposite happened. in addition
to the other divides there also arose a class divide as deprivation of goods
to the consumer divided the country into distinct haves n have nots.pure
liberalisation is also not the way out especially becoz after years of
monopoly our small scale n other industries are not in a position to compete
with foreign goods, but had intelligently regulated liberalisation been
started at an appropriate time then we would have been a lot better lot
now.but that would have meant less power for the ruling dynasty.
looking at this i feel what bad is capitalism. the exploitation of labour
takes place only in pure unrestrained capitalism as was practiced in the
20s-40s in present day capitalist countries. it is not so any longer.just
take a look at USA & the West as compared to india today.there is lots
better infrastructure, there is minimum exploitation, there is far less
corruption, there is much lesser divide in society than in india(there is a
lil but surely less that us):classwise, religion wise, caste wise, race wise
there is far lesser divide than us.the people are prosperous and dont live
in abject n heartrending poverty like we guys.above all the government still
commands the respect and trust of the people and has not become a filthy
joke.
looking at all this one feels that it is high time to do something n say
good bye to the "pseudosecular socialist raj" & usher back the actual
secular "ram rajya" of the old where india was more prosperous advanced n
people happy and there were few divides if any.
one wouldnt even mind paying a tax & investing there whereas here even to
pay the tax or invest and watch our hard earned money be used for
unscruplous purposes is really traumatic.
but one thing i am sure of. we as a people are not like this its was the way
we were governed in these years that did the damage and this reminds me of a
sanskrit proverb "yatah raja tatha praja"(as is the king so r the
subjects).so i conclude by saying that its time for a change in attitude.
but how what who etc these are the few critical questions that have no
answer yet.
