Re: News: Police fire on mob....

I think that what arjun, deepak and meera have said - has merits in part.
what seems to be bovious is that the politicians and police have all
failed in areas. I think what is lacking is a certain `humaneness ` and
maturity on the part of each party.

How can the police look after each statue in the city ( why do we need
them anyway? - if people are completely distanced from the thoughts and
ideals of these personlaities!if this is the only value / use that these
are used for , then we are better of without them)

The problem lies in the selfishness of the individual - there is no social
responsibility in an individual. We are all trained to be killers and
predators and practice this to an art ( where is the indian culture and
ethos that we proudly claim as our heriatage). when there is no conscinece
or care about the other - how can we produce humans - we cannot even do it
in a family unit. Each individual is there trying to BATTLE the world and
provide for his family / child etc.. This is completely paradoxical!
everyone wants to care for his child but completely ignore the social and
political environment... he is willing to allow this injured ( festered)
system to exist .... but when a wound is festered and you do not clean it
out then only necrosis can set in. Your child will be gifted this
environment and he may be killed or become a killer himself.

I think a deep self cleansing and introspection is necessary if we intend
to call ourselves human. I did not think that it is so difficult being a
HUMAN but obviously it seems like it is. Maybe this is the first issue to
be tackled and only then can we start looking and talking.

I agree with Deepak about the Ivory towers bit - how many of us are
willing to stand up for our convictions, hold a belief ( that is not
socially, economically ACCEPTABLE ? ) . How many of us are willing to
protest against simple things like NORMAL corruption and unhealthy
practices which we ourselves propogate by being bystanders.

Every society and system is built up of individuals and they must hold
some common values which will wetaher storms. unfortunately we have a
system where the only value is NO VALUES. Is this what people want to give
to the next generation? Is this the care and love for the child? I think
people should stop fooling themselves and accept that we are completely
ignorant, egoistical individuals and do not belong to a society.

hey, I did not realise i had so much acid within me !!:-)
