Folks:

Let's take the analogy of "nukkad".  Well, this forum is nothing but a nukkad, a
cyber nukkad. At some corner of internet, a bunch of desis exchanging information.

Growing up in India, I almost was part of more that one nukkad.  I had friends who
were good to know in case I got in trouble. I had friends where our conversations
bascially revolved around academics. And I had friends who were always out for few
good laughs and thinking of ways to enjoy their life.

I dont think core values of each nukkad could have blended well into one nukkad.
Similarly, I think we have to define what kind of nukkad we want to be. I could
clearly see a demarcation between people who simply love jokes and some are getting
really irritated.

Maybe we should create two "nukkads" , one could be "total timepass" with jokes,
puzzles, poems and philosophy. Other, more informational, where I will go if I wish
to know as well express my opinion about some current  event or a relevant topic.

Attempting to cater to two different mindsets with a single nukkad channel (so to
speak) , evidently, is not satisfying either of the group. Taking the nukkad
analogy again, I will like to have the option of going to nukkad I desire. For now,
two nukkad channels should suffice. Future growth could be determined by level of
participation and whether Harshal is still around ;-)
