Hi Friends,
I accept this opportunity given by Milind to talk on "Going forward from
here". Thanks for your kind words, too, Milind.
 Well, yes, personal bashing did get the upper hand in the recent discussion
which was leading just nowhere....deh!!!
    Why blame Harshal? I am positive Harshal DID NOT at any moment enjoy the
barrage and acted as a super moderator. Don't you all realize we all members
showed our character in a week long "email cruise". Come on, what a better
way could be to make us all show where we stand in language, tolerance,
intolerance, scoffing, insulting and at the same time sharing some
knowledge.
Many of us had our share of acute "verbal diahorrea", and lo ! abracadebra,
this one, strangely, turned into a contagious one.....!!!!
Some of the members are real informed ones and it is a pleasure to read
mails from Rajababu, Anirudh, Prashant, Mayank, Pankaj , A Joseph, Amrita
and many more alike . I must say I also enjoy the counter reactions from
some of us e.g.. Ravi Menon, etc. I thoroughly enjoyed Pulkit's "Rajababu
Personification". and I am sure Raja (of late) too must have silently
twitched a smile or two reading the piece.
  We all have mentioned "n" no. of times delete if you do not like but
coming to what we did was pathetic.....We simply overreact when we get a
personal mail.
  OK,  can I now bring your attention to gender participation in all such
discussions. My species were very few as participants... we all will agree.
It is not that I ( may I take the onus of stating "we" instead....chalo, let
me wait for the response) did not have anything to contribute or say or
donot know anything else but contributing towards
"chicken-soup-for-the-soul" or trivia here and there.
 It is because I wanna avoid the members-who-come-in-sheep's-clothing. (What
I write further comes in the wake of ignoring and tolerating being the
issue.) Do you think I do not have anyone on the list who I can blast off
just because I have a free podium...
The moment a mail gets posted on the list with any joke, or one-liners, or
trivia, or definitions, or anything... quick comes a plethora of reply mails
with friendship propositions from all the Casanovas and Swarzeneggers on the list. And the moment they get to know I am '80 years old with half
a dozen kids' down sink and nose dive their friendlySHIPS before you can even say f-r-i-e-n-d.
Some do not stop at that...they send their mails with jpeg attachments with
their "dream files" which they are deprived of posting on the list. My 10
fingers will be less if I am to write the names of these
sheep-clothed-members. Forget it, this mail should be embarrassing enough.
Poor Guys, how desperate they are!!! Thanks to email ids, they only keep us
vary of them. I am sure 9 out of 10 women members on the list will echo my
words.
But do you think I could not have blasted them off on this medium...In this
one year I never ever complained to Harshal personally or on the list. I
chose not to. I chose to ignore 'cause I feel ignoring can be the worst of
insults.
 I must, also, state that I have made some very good friends courtesy
"nukkad" and I continue being friends with them.
When such derogatory mails can be ignored why do we become so hostile when
we are having a healthy discussion.......just because we face a difference
of opinion? I do not vote for no discussions but where do we stop.....that
will  bring us to self discipline alone. That can alone help us survive this
list, which I love.
Nonetheless,  this should not also stop us from contributing to the list
what is worthy of. Please do not be indifferent towards the list YOU have
chosen to be a member of. Let us not frustrate the moderators so much so
that drastic actions are taken by them.
