Hi Techies,
My frnd's givin a seminar on Remote Access Servers.
In this a Client calls up a server(Which is connected
to a n/w), and accesses info,or takes services, that
one can take from a server.
Now the probs is, we are expecting a Question saying,
> Whats the use of doing so much, if we can access
another m/c via Telnet, then whats the use of RAS?
So tell me the foll details.
>Is Telnet, only on n/ws or can be used via a phone
line.
>What rights does a m/c that is connecting thru
telnet, has on the m/c to which it connects.
>I mean can it acecss every directory and file as and
how it wishes.
>Is telent used only for Unix/Linux or can be usedfow
windows OS also.
>Lastly if possible some diff between Telnet & RAS
Thanks.....
