Friends,
I have been pleading for some time that we must have an open mind as regards
possibility of existence of phenomenon which at present look weird because
of lack of expanation as per principles known to science so far. I thought
that it is a perfectly innocuous view which is, in fact, essential for
advancement of science. I was accused by a list member of being unscientific
and of being satirical  towards science. I was forced to recount my
scientific background in order to rebut that impression.

The mail by Sucheta simply supports my view. Clarvoyance was not discovered
yesterday. It has been around, but pooh-poohed. Today it is  Kartik Trivedi.
Tomorrow it may be a Nobel laureate in physics who discovers his clarvoyant
or telepathic powers and announces those. The world of science will have to
sit up and take note of it. But that event, though it may happen,  may not
take place for a century. If science has to wait that long for discovery of
hitherto unknown phenomena, it will be a pity.
