Hi all,
I am so overwhelmed to receive almost 40 responces from the members on this list, telling me that they wanted to do something like we did for our country, that it really boosted my morale. Thanks a lot.. u guys. I don't think that this is a right podium/forum to publicize SEVA, but
anyway here is something about SEVA.
SEVA is a non-profit social organization which is founded in late 1970s by Mr. Avinash Waghmare
(Ex IIT Mumbaian, currently one of the Retail Directors of Walmar Stores Inc.), Mr. Nandan
Nilkeni (Ex IIT Mumbian, currently one of the Directors of Infosys Technologies Ltd.), Mrs. Shruti Vichare (Ex IIT Mumbaian, currently CEO, L'soft Technologies Inc.), and afterwards many ex IIT Mumbaian, IIT Chennaites, doctors and lawyers joined SEVA and inspite of their busy schedule and their professional responsibilities they continue to work in SEVA as per their capacity. We all believe on fundamentals like
1) Men and Women are equal.
2) By birth no person is superior than other.
3) No religion is superior than other.
4) Our country and it's interests are our # 1 priority.
3) If you are involved in the social work then the foremost important thing you should follow is clean character.
4) Education is key to any success.
5) Every person should give some of his/her years for his/her country.
etc etc.
Those people who want to work in SEVA must get their family's permission to join it full-time, and whenever you want you can leave it, you are free to do so. It's a totally non-profit organization and it's funded by the members. Our "GURU" is "INDIA'S TRICOLOR FLAG" and we are pledged to die for it's pride. Any perosn/community who doesn't respect our "GURU" is our enemy, as far as possible we will try to change the mindset of such people/community by discussions but if our efforts are not fruitful then we are ready for the consequences of our action against those people/community, if and only if the actions of those people/community are harmful to the pride of our "GURU". On every "GURUPOORNIMA" we donate some of our earnings to the organization. Currently we have 1867 full time members working in Assam, Orissa, Maharashtra, Tripura etc etc. and we have 345,936 members spread all over the world. We encourage young, educated preferably non-married guys n gals who
are interested in social work to join SEVA so that they can give some of their years for their contry.
We fight our battles against the antisocial elements by legal way and just to give you an example of it, in Tripura and Assam we are fighting a legal battle against the local Church regarding the forced change of religion of our brothers, please note here that we are not
against the change of religion, we are against the "FORCED" change of religion and by the "POWER OF MONEY", we are also fighting our legal battle against the SIMI activitists arrested in Mumbai Bomb Blast Case (just to mention here that our lawyer is Mr. Mohammad Haroon) and we are also fighting our legal battle against "NO-CHI-NINH" activists in Himachal. Every year all of SEVA members meet to discuss different issues and to welcome new members and to refine our "THINK BASE", just to give you an example that personal views of Mandar, Vishwas etc.etc. became highly region biased and religion biased, we are in aprocess to change them. Last year we met at Pondicherry. This year we are planning to meet at Katharungo in Arunachal Pradesh. We choose,
such remote locations so as to build a confidence in our brothers for our country and so as to convey message to those our brothers at remote locations that your countrymen didn't forget you, and this also helps
in boosting the morale of our "JAWANS" of "INDIAN ARMED FORCES" at those locations and also curtailing the activities of anti-social elements there.
I think..that's this is enough...if you are interested in knowing that how we made GE to bring their costly, modern and technologically advanced research and development equipments to India from US thus strengthening the India's technological advancement, I will tell you all that also..believe me that it's a very interesting.

Ninad
