i am glad u said the lines I have appended
below....what most indians i have come across .....do
not realize is that industrialization in west came at
a great cost....it needed a cash/resource rich society
to grow and develop and this cash came from the
colonies...if one reads about conditions of industrial
workers in europe in 19th century...remember charles
dickens works... they will realize that even with
money from colonies...slave labour etc conditions of
workers were miserable
kanwal rekhi an exiitian who made it big in us of A
had said in an interview that if he had stayed back
in India his brain would have gone down the
drain....while i agree every one has right to live
where and how they wish... in pursuit of whatever
makes them happy.... however such statements lead
scores of youngsters into thinking that their life
would be wasted if they did not go to the *dream
land*... hence i would like to counter and point out
that galileo galeli was under house arrest for several
years coz he refused to take back his theory that the
earth revolved around the sun....path of progress has
never been easy.....and it takes both courage and
brains...to find out new paths...it is comparitively
easy to go on an established path and to a booming
economy and earn money there
