              Maybe you can aswer my queries (but open to all).

1. "Holy Koran" or "Holy Quran"? Which one is correct?

2. Is it mandatory that a Muslim should read it only in Arabic? Just asking 
you because the other holy scriptures like Bible and Ramayan/Mahabharat is 
read by professers of those faith in the respective regional languages? As 
an offshoot, is "Persian" and "Arabic" one and the same?

3. I recntly invited a freind of mine and his family for dinner at my place? 
He is Muslim from Meerut. He happily accepted my invitation but reminded me 
about using "Halal Meat". This was something new to me because back in 
Kerala during my student days my close friend who is a Muslim had a non-veg 
meal (of course involving meat) with us whenever he dropped in at my place. 
Also during my working days in India, my Muslim friends and colleagues never 
mentioned anything about this whenever we went out dining in restarants. Is 
"Halal" something particular to a region or is it a universal Islamic 
custom?
