----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 1) When doing a jov search, send a thank you letter to the employer. It
> should be sent after the interview. This differentiates you from other
> candidates.
> 2) Please send the letter within 48 hours after the interview.
> 3) Always address a thank you letter to a specific individual, and not
just
> the designation. Be sure the name is spelled correctly.
> 4) Ensure that the Thank you letter is business like in appearance. It
> should be on the same quality of paper as the resume.Someone should always
> proof-read you letter before you send it.
> 5) Always write each thank-you letter separately, even if a similiar text
is
> followed for each letter. Never mark cc copies, since it makes the entire
> exercise a waste.
> 6) The letter should highlight what was discussed in your interview, and
> should reiterate your qualifications and continuing interest.
> 7) Once you receive and accept a job offer, send you employer a thank-you
> letter. This is an effective way to get a good start in forming a positive
> relationship with your new employer.
> 8) If you are sending a thank-you letter in response to phone
conversations
> and informationl interviews, then do keep it short. Restate the major
points
> of the conversation and express your appreciation for assistance.
> 9) In case you are turning down the offer, send a polite and positive
> thank-you note. So it will leave the door open for future consideration.
> 10) In case the employer rejects you, do follow a similiar approach.
Express
> your gratitude for being considered, as well as you continuing interest to
> work for the company.
> 11) If you terminate employement for any reason, send a thank-you letter
to
> your previous employer. Be positive and generate positive references.
