1)The right one I believe is Quran.
2)It is not mandatory to read it in arabic. You can also read the translation however the portion of Quran that we read in Namaaz should be in Arabic and any way it is advisable to read it in arabic preferably, because no translation can ever match the pristine beauty of Quranic prose. It is highly untranslatable text. The other problem with translation is that , many people have there own translations thereby having many versions. But being in Arabic keeps the Quran safe from any mischievous addition as it had been memorized in arabic by Lakhs of the people around the world. Therefore you won't find any deviation or change in Quranic text from one sample to another. The one copy in far west atlantic cost of morocco will be exact replica of the one found in islands of mindanao(Philipines).
3)Muslims are allowed to eat only Halaal meat. That is the meat which has been cut the halaal way(i.e. Jugular vien is cut and the whole blood is let out and it should not be the one slaughtered in the name other than Allah.)
The reason for using Halaal meat are as follows.
Since we cut only jugular vein and not the spinal cord ,the nerves that supplies to heart remain intact,as a result the heart keeps pumping and almost all the blood is pumped out of the body.Blood being the ultimate broth for microbial growth, it is advisable to cut it Halaal way.Meat cut in this way is healthier, cleaner and stores for longer period.
Therefore the Jhatka meat is not allowed for a muslim.
Any way one can have all the seafood without much bothering about how its cut, because the moment the fish is drawn out of the water , all its blood gets coagulated in its gills , which is removed before cooking.
(Most of the meat that you get in Mumbai is Halaal food, because all the butchers all Muslims, except the meat found in Sikh localities.)
Even Jews are permitted to have ,only Meat cut in this way. However there are more rules for them regarding how the food should be cooked, which they referred to as Kosher.
Besides these, Halaal food also means something which has been earned through the right way.
We are not permitted to have alcohol, not even a little bit of it.So no wine should be added to our food.
If you have got any more query, you are welcome.
