Dil ki nagariya me na koi zaat
Na reet riwaj, na shuddh bhaat

Na purohit pandit mullah dastur*
Sirf khushbu* jaise hirni me kastur*

Bahar ka phera*, jaise randi ne ghera
Jis raat maroge, pada jungle me dera.*

unfamiliar words -
dastur - Zoroastrian orthodox priest
khushbu - sugandh, aroma
hirni me kastur - musk insdie the deer
phera - toils of external worship
jungle me dera.- masan, graveyard

If there is to be peace in the land, external
worship must cease.
