Facts and serious comments:

1. If one fifth of population in a country is converted, it is a huge
percentage. [And that too, after a large number have gone to Pakistan at the
time of partition.]

2. How conversions were effected without using gun? Here are actual
examples, which old timers and their fathers would remember:
A. Slaughter a cow, throw beef in a well surreptitiously. Villagers drink
well water unsuspectingly. Then reveal the fact to them. The pandits declare
that they have partaken of beef, their dharma has been lost, they have
become mleccha. Then welcome them in the fold of islam.]True, the rigidity
of hindu priests was also responsible].

B. Kidnap, rape or forcibly marry a hindu girl. She automatically is
disowned by her family and religion. She becomes a muslim. [This is a time
tested technique used over millenia. the conquistadors from spain were
ordered by Royal command to molest and rape the indigenous women of Central
America and they were rewarded for such acts of service to the cause of
Christianity, since the offspring was born no longer as an Indian, but as a
ladino christian. This is all in history bookswritten in USA. I have read
these books myself when I was there. If you can tolerate the gruesome
scenario, the records also state how viciously the christian invaders
perpetrated cruelty --- babes in arms were tossed on hot iron plates, as the
soldiers and white bosses laughed seeing them wriggle in pain. Believe me, I
write with no malice, but just to reveal a bit of the other side. Let
bygones be bygones. Look to future, not the past. For those who doubt, let
me state that I have daily read the bible for many years, in full reverence,
and have been to Church a few times, in Delhi as well as abroad. We are all
part of a big human family. And, in every family, there would be a few souls
not so noble.]

C. Ask young boys, 5-10 years age, to embrace islam, at the pain of being
buried alive in a wall. [Hakikat rai refused, and was buried].

D. Reserve jobs in Army and seats in medical colleges for muslims far out of
proportion to their numbers. [This was done consciously by the british in
the name of parity, but really to fan Hindu Muslim divide, as also to reward
the muslims for their perceived anti-hindu, anti-indian, pro-british
stance]. the Hindus, at least those on the fringe, get attracted towards
conversion.

3. It is probably wrong to say sufis converted hindus. Sufis had equal
respect for the two religions. Kabir, Rahman etc were sufi saints, who sang
praise of ram and krishna. May be My facts are wrong; I stand to be
corrected if proper correction is fortcoming.

4. It is wrong to state that Osama Bin Laden and Kashmiri Militants are used
as stereotypes to describe Muslims. But it is certainly true that they,
along with the taliban, are used as stereotypes for wayward muslims who
weild the sword and the gun in the name of allah in the mistaken belief that
those who do not believe in allah [praise be to him] are kafirs who have no
right to live and whose annihilation would be a devout service to Him.

5. As regards,"INDIA IS NOT FOR HINDUS ALONE", it is a 100% correct
statement. But who who said otherwise? If some lunatic says so, it depends
upon our good sense and discretion to ignore him or listen to him. The only
arbiter is the Constitution. And, constitutionally, we are a secular
country.

People keep talking about conversions.But do they realise that inspite of
thousands of years of Non Hindu domination of Indian sub continent,still
more than 80% of the population is Hindu.Had all those Muslim rulers really
bent on spreading Islam, such a situation would never have occured.
