Dear Net Geek & Guptaji,

That's the plight of India. Just because the official
(read British) documented history downplays such
events and does not mention such incidents, people of
today are not ready to believe them, though I agree
that this downplaying a right thing to do in order not
to inculcate wrong feelings amongst our new
generation. We had to and we have to let bygone be
bygones and look forward to a peaceful society, but
the fact remains that these events and happenings are
true and can be found in many unofficial chronologies
and be heard in the form of folk lore from our senior
citizens. I'm sure Guptaji will be able to give us the
detailed accounts that you have asked for.
