WHEN KABIR TURNED 80

When he turned 80 he changed his poetic style and often dropped the first
half of the prime line of the dohas. At this time he also let people know in
stray dohas of his origin, "Treta yug me jholi jhanda". Another change was
that he would say, dejectedly,  the following verse again and again. It does
no do well to have to write it here, nothing has changed in 500 years.

Saach kahun to maaran* aave, jhootha kaha nahi jaye
Saach ka koi grahak* nahi, jootha jag* patiyaye.*

maaran - run to harm me
grahak - buyer, taker
jag - jagat, duniya, world
patiyaye.- puja karna, worship of
