There are people who celebrate the festival but do not
actually buy the Ganesh made of mud, but the pooja is
done to the bronze/silver idol of Ganesh. 
  Is it really worth spending so much money on the
idol? Who will clean up the mess after the festival?
Dirtying the area and waters of lakes/seas/rivers?
  Instead of each house buying an idol, cannot they
collectively celebrate at the area temples?
