For many questions, especially for technical ones, using a search
engine to get the answer is the fastest way.

And Google (http://www.google.com) is the best one there is.

A search there (http://www.google.com/search?q=Windows+ME+Scandisk)
shows various other sites with solutions to this problem. The
most authoritative and informative one is from the Microsoft
KnowledgeBase which says the same things Sameer did.
