Hi,
I agree that abstaining from any issue does not solve the purpose....
I am not the one who goes that way. Would rather deal with it . But certain
things cannot be debated and come to any conclusive thought. Also very
difficult to make it a decision which could be universally accepted too.
In my opinion, one of such issues is religion.
How do I prove myself or my religion one up on your's. I can only
state...this is my religion, and this is how I practice it or don't. Right?
Cause it is such a subjective issue I feel. Do you think if we go to any
lengths can we justify that yours is better, holier, reasonable one than
mine? We saw in our nukkad, and time immemorial has shown, that none of us
ever won........only hatred and more hatred was the outcome.
Yes, if we discuss human behaviour, human rights, atrocities, crimes,
political issues, good or bad of science, etc, etc, we can reach some
conclusion and take corrective measures if so needed. Cause these are all
man made things or deeds. God is beyond me...that is why he/she is God.
Now to your Question
> 1. How relegious a person should be?
Well, as we are on the issue I would aslo like to give my view.
I fully agree with you that religion should be a guiding factor.
My religion to me is that there is some guiding force above me which tells
me right from wrong...and asks me to think before I do wrong.
And makes me thank my force above me when I see life going fine each new day
and I count my blessings thinking that.
Ofcourse, you right again, that adhering to a Holy Book is not necessary. If
you ask me, I will only say...Mera Bhagwaan puja kaa mohtaaj nahin hai. I
can think and talk to my God in my heart day in and day out. Period. Do not
have to prove anything to anyone.
you said
>>>>>>>>Isn't the popular technique "brain-storming" all about that?
Please.....Anytime.
cheers
