What do you mean by "islam's proposal"?  Islam is not a country or 
a kingdom. And it does not have a universal religious leader. 
Thus to say that something is "islam's proposal" does not make any sense.

Ascribing the worst intentions and actions of a minority faction to
the entire group and stating that as fact is illogical and weakens 
your argument.

Who says 'Hindu Indians'? I have never come across this term. Could
you show me any news report that uses this? It seems like the 
rediff columnist made up this term to make his point.

And if saying 'Muslim Indians' makes things better, let's all start 
using it. And if someone has any objection to it, let's ask him/her
to explain.

Let's see if rediff will heed its columnist and start using the 
preferred phrases. And then hopefully, the rest of the media will 
follow. It will be truly wonderful if this change of words will
have any real impact.
