If similar joke were made about muslim clergy, the person would 
likely be branded as anti-islamic, a fatawah might be declared  
against him and, in Pakistan, he may be put to death under 
blasphemy law or its variant.

Every faith has its followers, who are fully entitled to maintain 
their faith. But, then, why do they feign innocence when others 
protest that islam is too rigid, too intolerant. Let them respect 
other faiths; others will respect them. [BTW, I do not mean I do 
not respect islam]. If muslims do not allow others to speak a 
serious word against the prophet, nor question his teachings, 
[but, rather, slap blasphemy law against him]; if they  revel in 
converting hindu girls to islam in inter-religious marriages, 
though never allowing a muslim girl  to convert to Hinduism; then, 
how can they expect to remain uncriticized?
