MERIDIAN CLOCK [TM & COPYRIGHT TRUSELF INC.]
I made this clock a long time ago, which identifies 12 organ
systems in the body in relationship to 12 two hour phases, to
make up the 24 hours.
It is based on Traditional Medicine, and has been in use for
centuries, though not in the format I made.
Let's answer the questio in 2 parts:
1. Time of last meal.
2. Ideal time to then fall asleep.
1. Time of last meal for the day:
The natural systems which fits into the hours before bedtime
are as follows:
a. Outer Heart System - runs at a peak from 7 PM to 9 PM.
b. Three Body Cavities System - runs at a peak from 9 PM to 11 PM.
c. Liver Yang System - runs likewise from 11 PM to 1 AM.
a. Outer Heart System time is not an ideal time to be having
thge last meal of the day, because it has no digestive functions
as such.
b. Three Body Cavities System time is ideal because there is
relevance by the cavities, one being the middle which holds
the stomach.
c. Is also not relevant becaise it is geared more to detoxification.
Thus the best time for the last meal is at 9:00 PM, provided it is
a very light, predigested, mainly vegetarian meal with little
spice and condiment. The ideal time to be done with it by 9:24.
It needs to be warm and liquidish so digestion can be completed
well before 3 hours are done.
2. Ideal time to then fall asleep.
Again, the systems and time frames:
Outer Heart System - 7 PM to 9 PM.
Three Body Cavities System - 9 PM to 11 PM.
Liver Yang System - 11 PM to 1 AM.
If Yang is wakefulness, Yin is sleep.
So day would mean Yang dominating in Yang time.
In which case evening hours would be Yin Dominating in Yang time.
Outer Heart System is Yin in nature and can qualify but it is also
the most profound time at which the Soul can be experienced, or
lovers meet and speak, or one meditate on nature of things. So
this quality rules this system out.
Three Body Cavities System is Yin and Yang Balanced and has
at it's nature Instinct at it's base, expression at it's apex and
comprehension at the middle.
In which sense this 2 hour time frame is when one assesse the day,
sorts out the incidents, stacks these away, and reconciles.
Liver Yang System is more a detoxification unit, when all that
has been ingested as food and drink is detoxed and waste
sent to the disposal system, which will run betwen 5 AM to 7 AM.
In which case this does not seem to be the system to initiate
sleep in, there is too much Yang activity. It is also said that when
this system wakes, it should be in the dream state.
Thus the best time frame in which to initiate sleep is: Three Body
Cavities System.
Further finetuning this, one can still narrow down to the most
ideal span in the time beteen 9 PM to 11 PM, which is 120
minutes.
9:00 to 9:24 - a deep Soul type time frame of the nature of Yin.
[This is not suitable because this has the post-sleep energy].
9:24 to 9:48 - a Yang type time when sleep would be impossible.
9:48 to 10:36 - a settling, Yin time which helps centers all body
energies into a central core and pulls all downwards into the
lower belly, where sleep lives.
This time frame thus between 9:48 to 10:36 is the most ideal
time to begin the process of falling asleep. We can improvce
this even further by taking the last 24 minutes of this time as
idealmost, whihc is right after 10:12.
Summary:
Best time for last meal of the day: first 24 minutes of the
time span 9 PM to 11 PM, which is begin 9:00 and end by 9:24.
Ideal time to fall aspleep: 9:48 to 10:36, with best time being
10:12 PM.
