1. I admit that I never had studied seriously the Palestine 
problem. The initial piece about Israel/Palestine territory 
demands was taken from posting on another list. It had nothing 
original from me. I forgot to mention this fact, which I should 
have.

2. Rohit is right in stating that my opposition to Israel stems in 
part from that to USA, whose protege the former is.

3. Azim has done a great job in posting excerpts on this topic 
 from the UN website. It is very clear from this site that Israel 
has been constantly going against the UN resolutions.

4. It is mind boggling that a state sends tanks rolling on the 
streets of the adjoining state and holds the head of that state 
captive in his own house, cutting off water and electricity, yet 
the champions of democracy exhort the besieged not to cry! [The 
terrorist attacks on Israel are comparable, in a way, to that 
crying]. What will not a desperate man do? When the UN is almost 
dictated by the US, and when the US supports Israel which is 
guilty of blatant violation of UN resolutions, what else can a 
tiny group of beleagured people do?
