Precisely my point, perhaps with the exception of Tamil which to the best of my
knowledge is as old or ever older than Sanskrit and completely independent.
Malayalam, Kannada  and Telugu have lots in common with Sanskrit whereas there is
absolutely nothing in common with Hindi. Not that alone, consider other Indian
languages and a lions share have commonality with Sanskrit. However courtesy to the
actions of some overzelous Dravidian activists, even genuine critcisms from other
quarters are viewed in that angle  by proponents of Hindi.
