Ummmm... no. It does not prove that at all. The way discussions 
get hijacked has nothing to do with religion. If anything, it is
representative of the thought processes of a few individuals who 
link religion to completely non-religious topics. Being religious
does not mean dragging religion in where it is not warranted or
wanted.

If your contention were true, we would see more people participating 
in religious discussions. Instead it is the same few people, repeating
the same rhetoric ad nauseam.

BTW, when I called it nukkad's law, I was using 'law' in the sense
'a general principle that holds true for all cases' (think "Murphy's 
law") and not in the strictly legal sense. So feel free to break
this law. Heck, nothing would please me more than to have to
admit that I was wrong and to have to retract this law.
