RE: [nukkad] Tom Clancy novels

Hi..
One such book that I am also completely addicted to is Catch -22
I have read this book N number of times... in fact whenever I want to
Read something and if I am reading nothing else in particular I just pick
up this book and start reading it... the beauty of this book is that once
u know the broad context, u can just flip thru to any chapter and start reading...
It is a great book...hilariously ironic and sadly funny... if u get what I mean..

Also a great inspirational book that I really love is "Tuesdays with Morrie"
Worth a read ...

One film that I'll never tire of seeing or get bored of is Casablanca... its just
A great story... great acting...cool dialogues... and an amazing song "As time
Goes by" makes it one of my all time fav's.

Do you also have such films and books? What is it, do you think, that makes
you reach for them again and again?

 Bye,

 Anna.

Dear Anna,
Try:
To Kill a Mockingbird.
Uncle Tom's Cabin( it will shake you to your roots, believe me.)
Roots.(Alex Haley)
Edgar Allan Poe's mystery tales, esp. Murders at the Rue-Morgue.

Why does one return again and again to some books, not others:

Superficial Reasons:
1. It belongs to you, and is near at hand.
2. It fills up the time between your finishing one book and awaiting the
arrival of another from the local library.
3. The font and layout are very easy to read.
4.Your spouse gifted it to you.

Actual Reasons:
1.It occupies a special place in your heart( for whatever reasons)
2.Emotional roller-coaster ride
3.Touches an aspect of your own life.

What say?

-Dr. Taher Kagalwala
