Sri Lanka had a large Dutch population. The Dutch colonisers unlike the 
English left governance of the colony alone and were interested only in 
trade.

Children/people of mixed marriages (dutch/local) in Sri Lanka are called 
Burgers or Burghers. That being the Dutch word for farmer.

There is a Dutch colony in kerala (Cochin) and the palace of the erstwhile 
Maharaja of Cochin is known as the Dutch Palace as it was 
restored/refurbished by the Dutch. The largest Dutch presence in Asia 
however is was in Indonesia.
