in a certain quiz comeptition some 8 years ago i had been asked a question
as to which is the only country in the world with absolutely no phone lines.
though i could not get the correct answer the quizmaster later revealed it
to be  bhutan. we were pretty much amused  - - as to what country it was to
keep itself aloof of even the basic communication system.
.surely today it must be having not only phone lines but also the ubiquitous
internet.but this TV news proves it all the more right. it sure is an
interesting place to visit i believe  -- any nukkies have been there if yes
then do share ur experiences.being a travel freak i really like reading
about such peaceful exotic places.
sometime i wonder what has all this development in science got us - - it has
taken us further away from nature n this growing distance between humans n
the environment shall lead to nothing but destruction one day though on a
short term it might seem to make our lives more comfortable n easy.
also one more thing i always revered bhutan for was its higly fancy stamps -
- they seemed to make them in all shapes and sizes with all kinds of
artistry on them.
study of cultures that live in harmony with nature makes interesting study
isnt it.
