As a rule I don't like to talk of what I read because it reveals 
too much of one's self.

But I also am taken by Rohit's candor, so here is some input 
which would quickly put me out of running.

To me books are friends and can sustain one in the tender
years when there are many adults and not many who love you.

In later years I began to see books as enemies who tried to
pre-empt your thoughts, feelings, instill arbitrary truisms and
terrifying final dictums.

Much later I found that one may mistake one's liking for an
author to mean an inadvertent acceptance of his thought.

At which time I turned my enmity into a vehement rejection
and a forced abstaining, playing with the idea of "who would
I be if I were not all these second hand thoughts of third hand
corpses."

Today, I read the fables of my flesh and the blarney of my
bones. When it is night, I sit by my mind and watch it
chatter, wander, mislead, outright betray.

Much later, I come upon the dread script of the soul, which
tells me that there was nothing to be read and there is nothing
to tell.

In which case, Arya may be counted as None.
