Hello,
Saddam Hussain recently chose an anecdote from the second world war time
summit at Yalta to make his overtures to Britain. Thus spake He.

 "Stalin, Roosevelt and Winston Churchill were at dinner when a gold fish in
a large bowl of water was brought to the table.
The three leaders were invited to use their cutlery to catch the fish. For
the wily Stalin, the fork was his weapon of choice. Stabbing repeatedly into
the water, Stalin eventually gave up as the fish easily eluded him.
Roosevelt tried the knife, hoping to use its flat edge to flick the fish out
of its element. Again, exasperated, the American president had to give up.
At which point Churchill, using his spoon, slowly began emptying the bowl of
the water in which the fish swam until, bereft of oxygen, the creature
finally succumbed."
