Re: [nukkad] choices and more

Good health is just the slowest, most lingering way of dying.

indian rediff on choices:

> Actually, I would choose a third ever-available alternative.

> And that is to drink hemlock.<

It's over-Socratic and sort of escapist. I'd rather continue drinking from
the cup of life.
Sometimes solutions turn up unexpectedly.
Anyway, hope I'll never face such a choice.

Maverick on dating:

> For example try buying a pack of condoms during Navratri... trust me buddy
one will find one paying a premium or a stock out...<

What is Navratri?

Rawat on reading:

>During school/ college you are forced to read. Thus information
keeps on entering your mind. <

Yet, the information is quite limited if you read just what you are FORCED
to read.
Which is very much true about present day students. Alas!

>Thus, I must say that if one does not read as a hobby,
deevlopment of your mind and personality halts at the time you
finish your formal studies. For those who read, it continues till
they are alive.<

Well, to me it's slightly different. Reading certainly contributes to your
self-development[if you're able to use it for that sake] but to become
fully
beneficial it ought to be 'catalysed' by interacting with other people,
which
often proves to be of higher value.

>Whenever I meet a well-qualified person who does not like to
read, I feel sad.<

So do I. How long can you keep up the conversation based on professional
stuff only?

Netgeek:

>I'm very much around. Tied up due to some project deadlines and hence not
able to
participate full fledged. However I'll be reding all messages regularly.
Anything
specefic you want to aks me? <

You used to be very much present so I noticed your absence.
I thought you might help with your knowledge of literary
sites. But deadlines are deadlines and mustn't be neglected [...?]
My summer greak is still on so I'll try and make a search.

Nukkad is somewhat silent today.
Perhaps everybody's deep in thought on true friendship
and profound love...
Which is certainly worth it.

Bye,

Anna.
