Re: [nukkad] choices and more

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shared joy is doubled; shared pain is halved.
Thus do we refute entropy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ragini on silent Nukkad:

> Actually we are scared of dear Harshal.<

So am I. But I was trying to be bold and suggest another reason.

> We are trying to be good. <

I'm also trying. Can someone notice it?!
Learning to write composite responses.

>We were not so yesterday, including you.<

I know[humbly lowering my eyes]

[and now raising; that's what wonderful music can do!]

> Arya, please wake up.<

Yes, please do! [he can't hear me anyway...]

> Jagmag too is just blinking.
> Zaveri is fasting on his weekly oath.<

And so they can listen to their Selves. Yes, it's always worthwhile...
[I should follow this path too]

> See, so much about 'nukkad'
> and habits<

Meaning: don't break them?
OK. I'm just a stranger in this group, but learning...

Rawat about Husain:

>Wish to see photo of a man without a face. :)<

Remember the Cheshire Cat[Alice in the Wonderland]?
It's similar, but you see the eyes, not the smile[pity, anyway].

And about losing a friend or a lover:

>You are not able to find how you would live without him.( ... )
and to overcome loneliness, you decide to leave the world in which he is not
there.<

Loneliness? But if you look inside, you can find another friend who will
help you stay and bear this now
incomplete world.
I've discovered it with the help of someone wise. And it works.

>There are ways in which you can end up your identity (in a positive sense)
without ending your life.<

What positive sense can there be in ending up your identity?

>Help them not undergo the same pain that you had gone through.<

I don't think it's possible. I can't direct their lives. I can only help
them undergo this pain in a more tolerable way, so that they don't want to
leave; so that they want to stay and use their experience in building their
future.

And on reading:

>Some people do remain busy in books, and ignore interacting with
people altogether. They are missing a lot of reading.<

Absolutely right. But luckily for them they don't even realise it.

>On the other hand, if you look at the face/ eyes of a person who
is able to understand what it is all about, there is a different
look.<

Well, I've seen this look in the eyes of poorely-read or even illiterate
people too.
I think it is, to a large extent, a matter of curious mind rather than the
number of books read[which is by no means to discourage from reading].

Rawat and Ragini on my slip of the finger[on the keyboard]:

>> My summer greak is still on so I'll try and make a search.
>What is that.<

>Arey, Kya baat hai Rawat...kal aap 'beer' ko 'bear' kehtey rahey
aur aaj aap 'greak' ko 'break' nahin samjh rahey hain.<

OK, OK. You got me. The revenge is sweet : ))
But "nothing about us without us". Tell me what you've written.

Rawat on my whereabouts:

>What are the longitude and Latitude of Poland at your place?<

It's c. 21E and 52N [oh,boy! what a homework! have never been good at that]

>Which are your seasons and which recess you have at school?<

Dec.,Jan.,Feb. - winter [cold, snow or snow and rain]
Mar.,Apr.,May - spring [warmer, snow melts,blooming begins;
delightful,esp.May]
Jun.,Jul.,Aug. - summer[hot,more blooming,rains and storms]
Sep.,Oct.,Nov. - autumn[blooming's over, flowers and leaves die,getting
colder,rain and snow]

Christmas break: 23 Dec - 1 Jan
Winter break: 1 - 14 Feb [where I live; in other regions different, but
during Jan. and Feb.]
Easter break: 4 days around Easter[which falls on different date every year]
Summer break: end of June - 31 Aug

That's for the school year. The academic year is slightly different.[3-month
summer break]

>How you spend you recess.<

It depends on the weather and on the bank account [sigh!]
But we try our best to spend at least 2 weeks in the mountains every summer.
If we don't manage, I'm really unhappy. Wish I could live in the mountains
for good...
Sometimes travel abroad.

Best,

Anna.
