No, in my case the idea never occured. The reason could be that I had a
smooth sailing all these 49 years. But I can understand this could happen to
even strong willed persons when surrounded by all sorts of pressures and
having no ray of hope.
Some say that every Keralite has  contemplated  suicide atleast once in
lifetime. I can't say how far this may be true, there may be exaggeration,
but the rate of suicides in Kerala is as high as five times the national
average. Family suicides are a daily occurance. On a normal day some 50
persons terminate their lives. In extreme cases, as many as 130 deaths are
reported in one day.

Wish all the inner strength and courage to live on.
