Hello gang,

I am back from my vacation...I had a great time in
Scandinavia. Norway was absolutely beautiful. I really
loved the steamer ride in the fjord. I just can't
explain how wonderful it was, you have to feel it
yourself!!! Also Norway was very expensive - my only
advice to anyone going to Scandinavia is don't fix
your budget.... This is the only place where I saw the
price of sandwiches as high as 15 Euros!!!

I had not unsubbed during my vacation and had loads
and loads of nukkad digests in my mail box! Managed to
read most of them and had to leave the rest to be read
later. 

I think it was Rawatji who wrote about dropping
lighted matchsticks into a rum bottle... well we have
done it too!!! As kids we used to wait till the elders
finished their drinks and then switch off all the
lights, drop the lighted matchstick inside the bottle
and then close the bottle immediately with the
hand.... then slowly open the bottle and see the
effect :-)

As for Aryaji's question about suicide, I've never
tried to commit suicide, but contemplated on it. There
was a stage when I used to hate people who committed
suicide thinking they were cowards, but I was pushed
to a situation when I seriously thought my only way
out would be to kill myself. I am out of it now and am
happy with my life...

Anna, good to see composite responses from you. I hope
more nukkies follow you...

There was a discussion on names and nick names. I just
felt like adding this... I am known at home as Shyami
and most of my friends call me that way as well. A
couple of years ago I called my cousin and as was my
habit I declared that I was Shyamala calling! She
asked me how my baby was, and I was confused for a
moment. Did I dial the right number? It took a second
for both of us to realise what was going on, because
she knows me as Shyami she did not realise it was me
and thought it was her friend Shyamala who was
calling, and hence the confusion!!! So I guess 'shal
is right when he says stick to just one name!!!
