Anna described her experience.
My friend did. Twice. The second time she 'succeeded'.
She was only 25.
Very attractive.A brilliant mind. Successful teacher, talented translator,
efficiently dealing with the mundane. Perfectionist.Friendly and helpful.
And extremely sensitive. And she did it.

I had seen her a week before. We were talking. About her first attempt.
About how it had changed her, how she was going to handle things
differently. She was beginning to make plans for her 'new' life.
Asked me, as a more experienced friend, for advice. So I did advise, hoping
it would help.
What a fool of me!

A week later she did it again. 'Successfully' this time.
I always think about it with a sense of guilt. There must have been some
signs that I failed to notice.
Had I not, I could have done something... Perhaps...
When I realise how helpless she must have felt...

Anna,
Your friend too, like most in suicide cases must have taken the drastic step
on the rush of the moment. A week ago when you met her, she might be
distressed, but still hopeful and hence did not reveal herself. Its only
when hope totally runs out and the person gets lost into dark clouds that
he/she attempts the extreme. Feel sad for you. Was it a love failure ???
