[nukkad] poems, stories and humans

It is nice to see old and new poets in the list. Are there story
writers also? those who are already writing or those who feel
they can write.

I think of stories or poems as if they are like human beings.

When you sit to write, you are mostly not aware what will come
out of your mind. It is not like development of a tool. In that
case, you are often facing a problem, real or projected, and you
develop a tool to solve that problem. The purpose or the end
product is often known to you even if you do not know what is the
exact thing that gets developed. It has happened that a person
starting with some problem got some ideas and worked on to
develop something totally different, but his original problem
must have remained unsolved.

Sometimes, you have some idea about the topic you are going to
write about, or some punchline/ climax around which you weave
rest of the thing. Those are essays. 

Sometimes, even if you start writing with some particular end or
purpose in mind, you chain of thought might lead you to give a
totally different end.

Stories develop on their own. That is quite similar to a human
being. One gets born but how he will develop, what he/ she will
do is not known beforehand. That gives the concept of destiny.
Even believers of determinism feel overwhelmed at the un-folding
of events and ensuing transformations of persona. last week, I
attended a lecture of Supercop Julio F Rebeiro who mentioned that
Dawood Ibrahim was one of seven or eleven normal children of a
constable under him living in a nearby house. And today.

Body of a human being is afterall a combination of cells. Going
deeper, isn't it a combination of same molecules hydrogen,
carbon, phosphorus, oxygen and so on? Going further deeper, isn't
it a combination of electrons, protons, nutrons? And going to the
deepest, isn't it all manifestation of some basic energy?

This same energy gets combined and manifests different looks of a
body. Ever wondered how the same electrons, or the same hydrogen
give a black person or a white person, a hair or a nail, a male
or a female?

Alongwith the looks comes the awareness part. A human being is
not only the combination of basic elements. A person has an
awareness, that is his identity that separates him from every
other human being, alerady deceased, existing as well as yet to
be born. It is the thing that can be called ego, and probably
this is what is called soul in the religious thoughts. Identical
twins also have different awareness. You can clone a body to have
another complete human being, but that will have awareness of its
own. The awareness of a parent can't be transferred to a child or
to a clone.

Animals and plants are having bodies, but there is no proof that
they have any awareness of themselves. There were studies in
which an animal did not recognise that what it is looking in a
mirror is its own reflections. Birds, animals attacked their own
reflection in the mirror considering it to be a different bird or
animal intruding in its territory. Probably Chimpangees are the
only animal who could realise that it is their reflection.

When one dies, its body is still there, but its awareness is
gone. Awareness makes the difference between life and death.

A phrase, a sentence, a paragraph is also have an awareness.
Individual word is having some meaning, often more than one
meanings. But when it combines with other words, it gives an
altogether new sense. Every writing has same words but it
produces a new theme. 

Luckily, that theme, that awareness can't be taken away from a
story or poem. Once written, a story and poem are immortal, they
won't die. Their awarenss does not depart leaving the dead words.
In this sense, a writing is more potent than a human being. 

A painting or a sketch are also similarly alive. They are more
than the colours or the dots and lines. A piece of music is more
than its notes. They also are immortal.

That is what synergy is all about. A total is more than the sum
of its components.

A family, a society, a country is more than the sum of
individuals. These have another awareness. A mob has a life of
its own, thus a destiny. It is known as mass-conciousness. There
are said to be experiments when an individual animal developed
something or learnt some new trick, and all the animals in its
pack, without seeing him doing it and without talking with it,
happen to learn that thing. Building a nest is not taught to any
bird.

These are all arts. A human being can't give awareness to another
human being. We give body. Awareness is given by God. 

But the artists, the writers, the musicians create a body and
attribute it with an awareness. That is The Creation. They are
God.

Would anyone like to share when he or she created something
having an awareness of its own?

Create something. Give it its own awareness. Be God.

Protect awareness of other persons or things. You family, your
society, your country, your world was created by some persons.
Protect its awaress. Make it immortal. Be God.
