Nature does nothing uselessly. -Aristotle (384-322 BCE)

Hi Gang,

I had fantastic experiences during my stay at the
Ashram. It was past 10.30 in the night. I wasn’t
sleepy. I walked around the place. Beautiful! I knew
there would be no one to accompany me back to my
cottage, which was at least half a kilometer away.

The clear sky was decorated with white, bright bindi,
the moon. On one of the trees hung a swing. The swing,
a thick branch, tied with the help of strong ropes. As
the swing moved to and fro, the moon appeared and
disappeared behind the branches and leaves. I was
enjoying it.

I froze when I heard footsteps on the dry leaves of
bamboo. I didn’t see anyone. Someone wanted to
interrupt my conversations with the moon? Huh? Was it
a cat, snake or … Dracula? Oh, my only neck! I wanted
to jump and run.

I got down from the swing, held the sandals in my
hands and walked towards the cottage without looking
back. The cottage was in the wilderness. I stood at
the beginning of the path, and all that I could see
was darkness. The dry grass, as tall as myself, scared
me even further. Should I chant, “Guruji”? I, the
personification of bravery, was scared!

I inhaled and exhaled, wore my sandals and told myself
not to notice anything. I walked. No, not ran. I
reached the cottage. My roommates had left the door
slightly open. I sneaked inside and checked to see if
there were any uninvited guests.

What a night! I loved the experience. Repetition would
be fun [winks]. The next morning I went back to the
garden. I found some frogs hopping on the dry leaves.
A frog had scared me?

Full moon, lonely night… a frog, a kiss… a handsome
prince? *Ribbit ribbit*

Spared….

Asha
