1. In the process of thinking, energy is consumed, not produced.

2. Thinking is associated with electrical activity in brain, which 
varies with the type of thought process. This electrical activity 
is recordable by electroencephalography. There are three main 
types of waves-- alpha, beta and theta.

3. There is some scientific evidence that electrical activity of 
brain may be transmitted to short distances and may be perceived 
by other brains. ESP [extrasensory perception]could be explained 
in this manner. It is common experience that sometimes we get a 
feeling that someone is following us or peering/gazing at us from 
behind the back. This feeling is attributed to such electrical 
activity.

4. In some persons, and in emergencies, such activity may become 
intense. Telepathy is one example. saints who are spiritually 
elevated through meditation and yoga are able to achieve an 
ability to transmit and receive thoughts over large distances.
