hi all,
i aint liking this awry discussion about suicide(the concept suxxx) but
nevertheless it reminds me of the story of a man who has a special place in
indian n world history. i shall tell it short n sweet to the best of my
memory. i stand to get corrected in case there are minor errors.

Robert Clive the victor in the battle of plassey - -the person who laid the
foundation of british rule in india - - an event which changed the course of
history n to this day affects the lives of all of us discussing things on
nukkad - - that very robert clive has a strange history of suicide.

he started life as a no-gooder failing in all aspects of life. not knowing
what to with himself he attempted suicide not once but twice with his
pistol.both time in the nick of time the pistol failed. this gave rise to a
thought in his mind that divinity had ordained some magnificent task for him
and so was hell bent on keeping him alive. he went back a wiser man n
started life afresh.he joined the british army . for the queen n for the
country like all good soldiers he arrived in india.here he excelled himself
as a soldier n rose from rank to rank with his bravery n cunning. finally
he won the historical battle of plassey n became first governor general of
india -- an event which led to 150 years of colonial rule for us -- india
was the jewel in the brits crown, the most important colony after all.

hereon starts the phase two of his life. his victory n colonisation won him
plenty accolades back home where he became a hero.in india he became all
powerful n being a greedy man indulged in usurping large amounts of money
from whereever he could. his personal fortune had risen to gargantuan
amounts all through sucking the blood of natives and duping british sarakar
too.finally he was tried for coruption and found guilty inspite of the fact
that he was a powerful man. he was shamed publically & made to return to
england. unable to cope with the degradation, shame & the ignominy of being
branded corrupt by the very people for whomhe had won a prize colony ,guess
what he did.
well well well - - -not a difficult guess isnt it --- HE COMMITED SUICIDE.

so see how much some people achieve between two attempts.
