Actually that is why this thread got started.

Yoga (actually Pranayama) is having some breathing and meditation
exercises in which the word Om is pronounced in different ways.
It is said to calm the mind, switch the attention to inner self
and streamline the breathing. Several other things also.

This word is considered the first/ original sound among hindus.
It does not mean anything. We say "Om Nahah Shivaay" and likes,
to convey that we bow to god Shiva. The word is having its own
alphabet or rather symbol.

Thus, unknown people relate the word with hinduism and oppose it.

One of the most popular Yoga is called Surya Namaskar (salute to
the rising sun) which is done in front of the Sun. It is 13 or so
diffrent yoga finely merge to make it look like a perfect ballet.

When people find reason to oppose a national song saying that it
preaches praying, they think that this surya namaskar is done to
pray to God Sun of hindus. Thus they oppose aasaans like this.

That is why the original thread mentioned of yoga being banned.

The loss is theirs.

Of course, we do.

Om is just a sound. It might be being used for religious purposes
also, but I use it just for its own worth.

And Surya Namaskar, I have done but never in front of a rising
sun. So much for my prayers.

That was a sarcasm.

The followers of other religions are resisting yoga finding
religious connotations in it where there are none.

I tried to mock the above people by saying that ours is a secular
country, so we also are not spreading hindu religion.

you are a thorough reader. missing nothing. Good.
