There is a saying in Gujarati: 
" Jene kamaro thayo hoy,
   Tene badhoo peeloo dekhaay " 

can b translated as : 
' One who has got jaundice, 
  to him(her) all appears yellowish ' . 

n it means : 
one sees/hears/reads/
thinks of/evaluates others 
as per one's own mental tainting.

BTW, there once was one Piloo Mody, 
probably Parsee / politician(?); 
what does Piloo in his name mean?
