Which route/years? 
I have used BEST bus / tram, 
(also Central/Harbour/Wes suburban rail) 
always during 40s/50s/60s 
to go distances in Mumbai 

(note before it was officially adopted 
as the only word for Bombay/Mumbai/ 
Bambai, this was always used in 
Gujarati)

Previously, BEST route ids were 
alphanumeric like A, A1, A2 ... etc 
then it was made just numeric 
1, 2, 3 etc . 

May be I have come across him 
(or he me;) 

n if there is a photo of him 
in conductor uniform, i may b 
able to recollect him; if this 
photo is mailed direct to me or 
posted on nukkad website.
