You have made 5 points here:

1. The divorce procedure in Islam was the only one that sounded idiotic!
2. They have the right to 4 wives.
3. The right to say the word divorce 3 times
4. Malaysian muslims allowed the right to divorce their wives over SMS!
5. I would have no objections to following laws of the majority community

Let us make an effort to understand them:

1. I guess Farooks mail would have cleared some mist on this aspect.

2. The right to have 4 wives is also not free of misinterpretetions.
    How many people do you know have 4 or 3 or even 2 wives? Yes, Islam
    does have a provision for one to have 4 wives, but that has a
    historical reasoning to support it, and it comes with a lot of
    clauses and the most important is to get the consent of your first
    wife. Now which woman would do that?

3. Farook's mail explains this.

4. As far as the 'sms divorce' in Malaysia is concerrened, it was just
    a stupid statement made by one of the right wing extremest minister.
    There was no such bill proposed or passed.

5. For following the law of majority, can you picture
    yourself following the divorce law that you mentioned
    earlier, should you be a citizen of a country that
    practices it?

Some clarification from my perspective:
Each relegion / community has a lot of practised flaws.
Mostly they are not a part of the relegion.
Consider Sati / untouchability for example, they are
not hinduism, but were practised very strongly.

As for UCC in India, I would have no objections to following the laws of
the majority
community if they set the law with the minorities in mind. However, if
this translates
into religious majority making laws for minority religious groups, then
I think it is
