With regards to the triple talaq, as my knowledge goes, it is as simple as its 
said in some countries like malaysia, Indonesia and kalimantan.These 3 words 
are sufficient for a divorce to take place. Probably the muslims in these 
countries are practising something that they think or feel are the teachings of 
the quran but are not really clear about it.
I was told that in the quran, its clearly mentioned that its not permissible 
for muslim men to have several wives except to give an orphan a home. It also 
says that you cannot be equitable in dealing with more than one wife no matter 
how hard you try.
In islam, divorce is discouraged but allowed. This applies to any other 
religion that I know of. And in Islam, either party can initiate the divorce, 
as the women is known as an individual in her own. She has the right to ask / 
file for a divorce.
correct me if I am wrong here, then again, sorry, I'm not a muslim either. I am 
just passing on info that I have gathered while in the process of growing up u 
see.
