---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gravitation is not responsible for people falling in love. - Albert Einstein ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for your views pankaj. I wonder what your thoughts on God were when you were 14! The issue was not the dog. At 14, I might have been blurr about knowing what god was all about, but I did believe in Prayer Power. My young friends in school were missing the point. It was not the dog at all.But at that age, most of us do behave silly. All i believed in when I was young was the power that prayers can have. All I meant was that no matter what circumstances life brings you to, prayer does help. It does not matter how you pray or where you pray. On the road side, on a bicycle, with or without your head cover, it does not matter. There is always GOD to listen.I strongly believe that my prayers always connect to the almighty, so what if at times they are not answered. I can give many more examples when my prayers were not answered. I lost my dad last year. By his bed side, I prayed like I have never before, but he had to go. Till the last moment, even after he was gone, I kept praying hoping that he would come back to life. This was the only worst incident in my life. My dad was my one and only true friend. But his death did not change my believe in prayers. I still have my faith in my prayers and faith in God. Forgive me if I have used a wrong example, like the dog. But each individual has their own unique way of looking at things, dont they? pankaj@anolesol.com wrote: Wonderful Sunita! There is a god because the dog didn't bite you? Then, there mustn't be god for folks who get bit. I must not have a god. My neighbors, too. And what about the dog who got rabies? Does he also not have a god. Just because you're saved some suffering, there is god? And then, stigmatic have god? Miracles for god, god for miracles... isn't life enough of a miracle without god and these petty "saved me from the dog" miracles, and those petty, however, powerful feelings? Indeed, one has god because one wants it. I don't have to go into stupid shit like, that was a domesticated animal and wouldn't bite you even if it chased you to hell. Indeed, the poor bastard wouldn't even clear the gates of hell, as it's been told that, hell isn't where you should go. I won't also tell you that the sound of your falling or the abruptness of your slowing scared it off. Or that it was just his whim. But a dog's whim is being used to prove there is god? Even if the point you're making is just to yourself, that you want people to relate to it says enough. Nah, I won't interfere with your world which has God. Be happy with and in it. As Mubs said, eventually, we are all doomed (ha! ha! ha!). Pankaj PS: If there is God, it's got the babelfish. Thank you Douglas Adams! PPS: One reason to believe there isn't God is that Douglas Adams died when he was only 50, the last year. SMS using the Yahoo!
