If you are using an anti-virus program, update the signature files
to the latest version. Also check if the same program can check
all your incoming email. 

This along with deleting all the infected email is the best short
term solution for dealing with this (and future) viruses.

The best long term solution is to educate people not to open
unsolicited attachments. Whenever someone mentions the virus,
inform them about the dangers of trusting unasked-for attachment.
Just a few people clicking on the attachment can cause the virus 
to spread very far and wide.

The worm will self-destruct on Sep 10. Till then, 'delete' keys
the world over will get quite a work-out.
