I can't think of any reason for this. It looks like you are doing all possible steps in order to wipe the browser history. Try this: Start->Settings->Taskbar & Start Menu->Start Menu programs and click on the 'Clear' button in the 'Documents menu' box. This should clear your browser history. You may need to close all browser windows and re-open them to see the effect. Another thing to check out is the Microsoft Knowledge Base Article titled 'History Items Remain After Being Deleted from Cache' at: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;218966 > It is very irritating because I want to use this thing as > the memory of work I had done in one day or in one sitting. > As every link appears highlight, I got lost in the file. I find this a very interesting way of working. I would prefer to have an infinite history so that I can keep track of the URLs I visit. > Where do ie and staroffice store its history of visited > links? On Win98 IE stores them in the \Windows\History folder. The exact folder name may vary based on the version of Windows. You will have to look in the StarOffice documentation to see how it handles URLs. I don't have the package and there was very little information online on configuring its Internet settings to have no history. > I had heard a few months ago that staroffice 6.0 has been > released. You can read the details at: http://wwws.sun.com/software/star/staroffice/6.0/index.html Dr TV wrote of Netscape 7: > the chief appears to be that it can not send mail to any .com or > .net domains. send a mail to net.in or any other country domain > goes through! I don't have Netscape 7 but this seems like an error in some configuration. It surely can't be the mode of operation. Details about bugs with the mail component in NS7 are at: http://wp.netscape.com/eng/mozilla/ns7/relnotes/7.html#mail and they don't include any indication of this error.
