[nukkad] Petrol Warning

It is true. It happened to 3 of my  friends

 The last time I filled petrol with  additives that is being widely
 advertised  by HP and other  oil companies. Its more expensive by a rupee
a litre  and  has  additives that are supposed to enhance the engine
performance. One of the  brand names for this petrol is  Speed.

 My experience has been that it does improve engine  performance and
mileage on my Lancer. However yesterday morning as I was  driving the
engine stopped suddenly. I called the breakdown service and  their first
question was are  you using Speed. When I replied in the  affirmative they
immediately  concluded that the problem was that this  petrol causes the
electronic fuel  pump to fail. It seems they have  had several failure
complaints from  customers. Luckily my car is  under warranty or else I
would have ended
up  paying about Rs  10,000 for a new one.
 They also told me that cars like Icon,Zen, Honda,  Astra etc have the
same problem.

 I suggest you consult your  car dealer before using this petrol.
 Please pass on this information to  as many people as you can.
