Oops! that was the problem I had been facing. This list guided me that it is possible, but I could never get any mail sent when every setting was working ok. So I gave up. It is really surprising that ever since releasing ns 6.0, netscape/aol has started behaving like microsoft. > 2. d oyou find the urls marked as visited after deleting cookies history AND shutting down the pc? yes. even after doing everything just short of formatting the hard disk, these links are shown as visited :( Harshal Chhaya wrote: > VSRawat wrote: > Try this: Start->Settings->Taskbar & Start Menu->Start Menu programs and click on the 'Clear' button in the 'Documents menu' box. > This should clear your browser history. You may need to close all browser windows and re-open them to see the effect. done that also. no improvement. :( I had read somewhere that if Mr Bill gates gives $1 every time a windows user faces a problem, he will go bankrupt in three years. > I find this a very interesting way of working. Actually, I am editing my song site file using staroffice html editor. that is very powerful, very useful. When I start editing 200 files which are linked in one main file, I want only those files which i had visited and edited to remain marked as visited, so that I can remember that the first unvisited link I have to edit. After editing all the files once, all links on the page are marked visited. now when I go to edit the files in second pass, I get lost. > I would prefer to have an infinite history so that I can keep track of the URLs I visit. :0) It means that your wife does not fiddle around to see what sites you have visited. > On Win98 IE stores them in the \Windows\History folder. The exact folder name may vary based on the version of Windows. Actually, I am having Tweak Ui 2000 also, and I have further chosen to delete history/ recent/ temp/ and whatever. even then Mr Gates has kept them hidden somewhere. > You will have to look in the StarOffice documentation to see how it handles URLs. I don't have the package and there was very little information online on configuring its Internet settings to have no history. exactly. *office doesn't know the word "history". it is not in its help file. > It has been released but it not free. You can read the > details at: visited that. Entire staroffice is a good package. Sad that they went premium instead of working on it by using feedbacks of free users. > I don't have Netscape 7 but this seems like an error in some configuration. It surely can't be the mode of operation. Details about bugs with the mail component in NS7 are at: and they don't include any indication of this error. A few months ago, when I hadinstalled it for the first time, I had faced this problem and had mentioned it at the list. could be our config problem, but could not get answer to that.
